I've been perfecting this one since I wanted something yummy yet a little healthy for the holidays. Give it a try if you're looking for something new!

Chocolate Chip Oat Bars

Heat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13 pan really well if you are going to cut and remove bars right away. They harden up fast, then relax the next day.

1 cup flour, wheat or whole wheat
1 cup old fashioned oats
2 teaspoons baking powder

Mix these ingredients together.

1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup

You can go a bit scant on the sugar if you like. Use a mixer to blend these together. Then add:

1/2 cup Egg Beaters
2 teaspoons vanilla

Then add the dry mixture and blend. Finally, stir in:

12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup pecan pieces

Bake in 350 degree oven for 33 minutes or until top is brown. Eat at
will or freeze for those unexpected visitors. They freeze well.
