I've been on Facebook for quite a while, but it appears the new thing for writers is to set up Fan pages. If you'd like to find that page, it's at:

Also, I was flattered to see that reviews for a couple of my books were posted at Goodreads.com so I've tried to start setting that up too, though it appears to be harder than Facebook. If you hang out at Goodreads I hope you friend me there too!
