Layering

I have a busy weekend ahead of me. Tomorrow is my Romance Writers of America meeting. Author Terri Reed is speaking about layering, and I gave her one of my first draft pages to be used as one of her workshop examples. I'm interested to see how she improves it.

I'm going to be spending ten or so hours in the car over the next two days. I suppose it is too much to ask that the rain go away for that time? No chance of that, but the big trip I'm taking has been majorly hampered by snow the last two times I've gone, so I guess I should be happy to only be expecting rain! It's also nice to see the "high" temperatures slowly creeping toward fifty degrees again. Maybe winter will be over soon.
I've been spending some time at the
www.linkedin.com site during the past day. It turns out that quite a few people I know have profiles there. If you're looking for a job there are employment postings too. That's always a good thing to know in this economy.
My most exciting news of the day is that my first edits are complete on Aromatherapy To Go. I wrote my back cover copy today, and my editor forwarded the manuscript to the final edits department. Yeah! I'm crossing my fingers that the guide and gift set will be on the shelves by Christmas.
Stay dry!
