If you're going to try to write a novel in November (see www.nanowrimo.org for details on how to join with a group of like-minded individuals) I recommend you take a look at writing resource site www.ninthmoon.com for materials to inspire and help the author inside.

In the "My Writing Space" section, you'll find doorhangers to notify family members you're busy (I can't stand being interrupted, myself), a timer (great to force yourself to focus and see the Natalie Goldberg books for additional help using timed writing) and inspirational materials. In the My Craft section you'll find all kinds of books to help you get the information you need. And in the Motivation section you'll find a variety of "BICHOK" reminders for that all important "Butt in chair,  hands on keyboard" saying.

After all, if we aren't touching a keyboard or holding some kind of writing instrument, we aren't writing!
