Aphrodite's Necklace was the first erotic romance I wrote, though far from the first story I'd written. I just loved the idea of the Torrid Tarot series because tarot was a big part of my first Cerridwen Press release (Cards Never Lie).

I decided my alter ego would have to write very different stories, so I thought her stories would be paranormal with a bit of Greek mythology. Aphrodite's Kiss is my attempt to be fairly true to my 1844 historical setting and characters, with a lot of magic. And I have to say I thought it was pretty sexy too!

The tarot card for this novella is the Queen of Pentacles, and I used both the theme of the card and the card itself in the story.
