Black Widow, Harry Potter and Amarinda Jones

I haven't been too good about blogging, lately, have I. I don't think I've gone this long between blogs since I started close to a year ago. But, I've been busy of course.
I just now finished the first draft of my first novel length erotic romance, currently titled Black Widow. I really wanted to finish it before I transferred to my new job in the library system on Thursday. And I managed this despite being up til 2 a.m. celebrating the release of the final Harry Potter novel in the rainy streets of Portland, Oregon. Oh, I am tired today! But we had fun, and I have my copy of the book, though I'm not sure when I'll have time to read it. We also caught sight of my husband's last car, which we traded in a few months ago, parked in an apartment lot where a co-worker lives. That was wild, to see the car alive and well only about 12 miles from where we live. It's a small world...
We library folks were joking that we'll spend our breaks this week in the Youth Services section of the library reading our copies to make the kiddies jealous, but I think the library bought or leased over 160 copies so there is a huge run to pick them up today. I'm so glad I don't work Saturdays! One of my coworkers vowed to stay up last night and read it. I'm going to try to avoid her at work tomorrow so she doesn't give the ending away. Another coworker read the last page as soon as she had her copy, and it sounds like that was a spoiler in itself, but she didn't tell us what she saw, thankfully.
I have been blogging on Fridays over at
http://cerridwenpressauthors.blogspot.com so you can catch me there if you've been missing my witty blogs (ha!). Also, make sure to visit
http://amarindajones.blogspot.com/ and start reading July 17th too catch a really cute serial novel that is moving between her blog, Anny Cook's and Kelly Kirch's blog. It's too funny. These three CP/EC authors are really a hoot! The fifth entry was just posted today on Anny's blog.
