Edit-o-rama

I finished my third set of edits in less than two weeks yesterday and am waiting on a fourth. I'm learning that this is what happens when you are productive. I did get one release date out of it so far. The sequel to Lucky Number Seven which is out from Ellora's Cave on June 13th is Bijou's Bonds, and that will be out on September 26th. So not too long to wait for those who enjoy my take on shapeshifters! This is my first sequel out. Writing them is a very interesting process as you try to find little bits in the first story that can be blown up into interesting pieces in the next - and it looks like you planned it all along. Sometimes you did, sometimes it was a happy accident.
Yesterday's edits were for Two on the Hunt which is the sequel to my July 12th Cerridwen release One Juror Down. I'll probably be getting that release date in a couple of weeks. I'm thinking November or January because I think December will be holiday stuff. I have a great holiday story that I've been wanting to do since last November but it never seems to fit into my writing schedule.
And what am I doing now when I'm not editing? I'm writing Black Widow, which is my first entry into the Ellora's Cave Hunters for Hire continuity series. I believe one story has been bought so far and there is at least one more completed tale waiting for editorial review. I'm filling my brain with science fiction romance so I know what has come before us. And boy does it run the gamut from sci fi adventure to space opera to first contact stories. Right now I'm reading Star King by Susan Grant which was out in 2000.
Have a great week. Once we get through cold mornings it feels like summer here in south Washington state!
