Plotting vs. Writing

I have been missing in action for most of the week here on my blog. Unfortunately I was hit by the flu on Sunday and most days haven't even gotten near my computer. My inbox is frightful! The scariest thing about the out of town wedding then the flu is that I haven't written for a week. The three days surrounding the wedding were too scheduled to allow the time, and the flu knocked the brains and ability to sit up straight right out of me.
Oddly enough though, once the fever was gone, I was able to plot. I plotted an entire novel out one day. I'm not well enough yet to see if it's any good, but I'm surprised that plotting felt like a less intellectual task than writing this week. Or maybe not. Maybe it's simply less physically taxing.
I don't know. What do you think?

I think plotting a book is getting to be less of a chore than it used to be. You've exercised your plotting muscles! Feel better soon!
