   I hope everyone is winding down their holiday preparations. I think I did my last grocery shopping today, and I can only hope Hubby gets his act together and goes gift shopping tomorrow. Yes, for the first time! In his defense, we did lose our water heater today and he had to go buy a new one. Tomorrow he'll be installing it. Hmmm, I may not be getting a gift this year.
    I have started our holiday food mode as of tonight. We had my husband's favorite burrito casserole, and I broke out the pumpkin-spice-chocolate-peanut butter cookies. Sounds gross, but actually very tasty. For Christmas Eve I will be making manicotti for the first time. I'm used to having beef stroganoff on Christmas Eve, but my family will be separated for the first time that I can remember this year. So I'm sure we'll be enjoying the stroganoff on New Year's Eve instead. And why not? It will taste just as good.
