I was afraid I was going to lose my unfinished manuscripts last night! We had serious winds here in the evening, and the power kept flickering and dying. Our flag pole fell down and hit my husband's car. I have a surge protector, but I've lost at least 3 pieces of electronics to surges over the years so I'm paranoid. My dream for 2007 is that I can afford a new-fangled computer with the USB port in the front so I can start using one of those cool memory cards to store everything. My current computer has the USB port in the back and there is no easy access. I'd have to disconnect stuff to even get to it. Plus it's crashing and viruses keep getting it, probably due to sharing my computer with my You Tube-obsessed hubby. It never got sick before!
   I hope you all survived the storms if you had them. There were winds up to 114 miles an hour in Oregon, apparently. Wow! Assuming it's all over, I'm partying tonight then off to the booksigning in Lynnwood tomorrow. Hope you have a fun weekend wherever you may be, or if not at least keep safe...
