I am back to revisions on Gunshot Grange now that I've finished the first draft of Aphrodite's Necklace. I figure I should let that novella rest a few days before I go back to it. Eilis Flynn suggested it was okay to get interested in one project over the other and work on only that one for a few days at a time, so I'm trying that. I thought I had to be both Heather Hiestand and Anh Leod every day or I'd fall behind! But I like this approach better.
My critique group had a lovely little party for me last week to celebrate the sale of Cards Never Lie, and one of my partners handed me a chunk of printout, which turned out to be an early draft of Gunshot Grange. She said she'd sent me all the comments before but I might want to have this. I'm finding it's really helpful to go back and look at it, even a couple/three drafts farther down the line. Sometimes the comments that are given are more general, and you never really account for them. Well, that final draft is the time. So, thanks Joleen!
In other news, Borders at Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood,WA has agreed to host a booksigning for my anthology Holiday in the Heart, as well as for Christmas Wishes, No Law Against Love and Blue Moon Enchantment. This will be my first booksigning, and I'm so glad four other fabulous writers will be there with me! We are gonna party at the store, so stop by my blog for more details in the next few days.

Oh, no, I have to go all the way up to Lynnwood?! Agh! Well, all right. (grumble) Let me know when! Will you be wearing a feather boa to indicate you're a writer?

I suggested red and green feather boas to the group last night. But we'll see. I also thought of reindeer antlers and those super-loud Christmas sweaters. Jacquie Rogers suggested Santa hats.
