For the first time in my life, I'm under contract at two publishing houses. It's thrilling and frightening all at once, to know there are editors out there who think the world beyond my family and friends are ready to read my work. The first manuscript I ever wrote was co-written with my friend Allison. It was she who turned me on to consistent romance reading, and she who challenged me to write my first romance, then actually submit it! Ironically, that manuscript was probably read by more people than any since, because it somehow ended up being used in an English class in Africa. Our words are powerful, and we never know who they will reach. Speaking of that, I can see more people are starting to read my blog, and I wonder who they are...

To all of you, welcome!

For me, I'm going to finish editing a mystery short story set in the early 1980s that I wrote last year, then get back to my teenaged stripper in the sequel to my upcoming Cerridwen Press release!

Wow, Heather! It's really happening. It seems like so long ago we put Alicia and Max to paper. Two Days of Summer. We had some much fun on our "research" trip to establish the setting. I'm excited for you now to begin receiving recognition for your years of work: writing and rewriting and RWA meetings and critique groups and so much more. I feel honored that our project was the kickstart to your writing career and more importantly realizing your dream. Congratulations!

P.S. You'll have to tell how Two Days ended up in Africa!!!
