Hello, and welcome to my new blog! I'm a new author with Cerridwen Press. My first novel, The Cards Never Lie, should be out in 2007 sometime. I'll keep you posted with details here as they happen.

Everyone wonders how authors get "the call." I actually received mine via email, only 18 hours after the full manuscript was requested! The publisher had been looking at 4 chapters of the book for 15 months, so it was quite a shock to have them want the book so quickly after the request for the full. But I couldn't be more thrilled. Ellora's Cave/Cerridwen Press books are such high quality and so fun to read. I hope Melanie and Rob's story lives up to those of my fellow authors.

Thanks to my father, David, I have a website up far more quickly than I will have a book out. I hope you will enjoy my websites, www.coffeeonsundays.info and www.heatherhiestand.com (coming soon). We will have interesting material from both myself and fellow author Eilis Flynn. We call our website Coffee on Sundays because we shared coffee on Sundays together for many years before we sold!

I expect my blog to contain book reviews and other musings. I have been a book reviewer for years on various websites, since I am a true book lover. I also am a recipe person, since I am a weight loss professional in my day job. Now you know what to expect!
